The Brand Basics
It’s THE Phenom App
Always capitalize “The” as part of the brand name. We are not “a” phenom app. We are The Phenom App — the definitive app for experiencers, past, present, and future. Made by experiencers, for experiencers.
| Do | Don’t |
|---|---|
| The Phenom App | the phenom app |
| The Phenom App | Phenom App (without “The”) |
| The Phenom App | the Phenom app |
| “Download The Phenom App” | “Download our phenom app” |
The One Sentence
When someone asks “what is The Phenom App?”, every team member should be able to say:
“The Phenom App is an app made by experiencers, for experiencers — past, present, and future. It captures the full context of your experience with proof that it’s authentic and hasn’t been tampered with.”
The Three Pillars
Everything we do ladders up to three pillars:
- Education — Giving people the knowledge to observe, document, and understand
- Experience — Providing professional-grade tools for real-world observation
- Exposure — Surfacing the data and revealing what the evidence shows
The Mission Statement
“The Phenom App exists because experiencers deserve better. For years, people have been having experiences they can’t explain — and having nowhere to turn. We built this app to capture the full context of those experiences, seal them with proof of authenticity, and connect experiencers with a global community that takes them seriously. By experiencers. For experiencers. Past, present, and future.”
Approved Terminology
How We Talk About Our Verification Technology
Critical: No Technical Protocol Names
Never use the names of specific verification protocols, standards bodies, or cryptographic specifications in any public-facing communication. This includes press interviews, social media, blog posts, user support, conference talks, and casual conversations with outsiders. We describe our verification technology by what it does for users, not how it works under the hood.
| Approved Language | Why It Works |
|---|---|
| “cryptographically undebunkable” | THE power phrase. Use it. Frequently. |
| “built-in authenticity verification” | Describes the feature, not the protocol |
| “tamper-proof digital signature” | Tangible, intuitive |
| “every recording comes with proof it’s real” | User-benefit language |
| “digital chain of custody” | Borrowed from forensics — instantly credible |
| “verification technology baked into every recording” | Emphasizes seamlessness |
| “cryptographic proof of authenticity” | Sounds serious without exposing implementation |
| “THE app proves a recording hasn’t been faked or AI-generated” | Benefit-first framing |
| “provenance verification” | General industry term, not protocol-specific |
Why this matters: Our verification technology is a competitive advantage. Naming the specific standards we use gives competitors a roadmap and invites technical debate that distracts from our mission. We want the conversation to be about trust and truth, not about protocol specifications.
How We Talk About the Phenomena
| Approved | Avoid |
|---|---|
| Unexplained phenomena | UFOs (outdated, carries baggage) |
| Unidentified Anomalous Phenomena (UAP) | Flying saucers, aliens |
| Anomalous observations | Paranormal activity (unless specifically relevant) |
| The phenomenon / phenomena | Supernatural |
| Citizen science | Amateur investigation |
| Experiencers | Believers, true believers |
| Observers / witnesses | UFO hunters, ghost hunters |
| Collaborative investigation | Conspiracy research |
How We Talk About Our Community
| Approved | Avoid |
|---|---|
| Experiencers | Users (too generic) |
| The experiencer community | Enthusiasts (too dismissive) |
| Past, present, and future experiencers | Followers, fans |
| Community members | Customers (in public — fine internally) |
| Participants in The Grand Experiment | Subscribers (in public) |
Key phrase: “Made by experiencers, for experiencers.” This is our identity — use it freely.
How We Talk About Ourselves
| Approved | Avoid |
|---|---|
| The experiencer’s tool | UFO app |
| Made by experiencers, for experiencers | Citizen science platform (too clinical) |
| The app for experiencers | Sighting tracker |
| The Grand Experiment | Our product / our service (in media) |
| We capture the context of the experience | We collect sensor data (too technical) |
Voice and Tone
Our Voice Is
- Scientific but accessible — We take the subject seriously without being stuffy. Think “Neil deGrasse Tyson explaining to a curious friend,” not “academic paper.”
- Inclusive — “For skeptics, believers, and everyone in between.” We never make anyone feel dumb for asking or for doubting.
- Confident without arrogance — We know what we’ve built is significant. We don’t need to oversell it.
- Data-first — When in doubt, point to the data. “Let the evidence speak” is our default posture.
- Stigma-aware — We actively work to normalize reporting. We never mock, never sensationalize.
Our Voice Is NOT
- Sensational — No breathless hype. No “you won’t BELIEVE what we found.”
- Dismissive — Never ridicule people’s experiences, even unusual ones.
- Defensive — If someone is skeptical, we welcome it. “That’s exactly why we built this.”
- Conspiratorial — We don’t speculate about government cover-ups, secret programs, or hidden agendas unless Lenval specifically addresses it from his own experience.
- Technical-first — Lead with the human story and the mission, not the tech stack.
The Stigma Playbook
The single biggest barrier to our mission is stigma. Experiencers don’t come forward because they’re afraid of ridicule. This is our founding insight and our most powerful talking point.
The Default Response to Skepticism
When anyone pushes back on the topic — in person, on social media, in comments — use this framework:
- Acknowledge — “I get it. This stuff sounds crazy.”
- Bridge — “That’s exactly why experiencers need proper tools, not dismissal.”
- Prove — “Every recording on our platform comes with cryptographic proof it’s authentic. Experiencers don’t need you to believe them — the proof speaks for itself.”
- Invite — “If you’re skeptical, that’s fine. You might be an experiencer tomorrow. The tool will be ready.”
What NOT to Say (Ever)
Red Lines
- Never claim we have “proof” of extraterrestrial life, interdimensional beings, or any specific explanation
- Never speculate about what the experiences ARE — we capture them, we don’t conclude
- Never criticize the government, military, or intelligence community
- Never promise that our verification technology is “unhackable” or “100% foolproof” — say “tamper-resistant” or “cryptographically verified”
- Never use the word “believe” about the company’s position — we “listen,” we “capture,” we “verify”
- Never say “trust us” — say “the proof is in the recording”
- Never disclose the names of specific technology standards or protocols we use for verification
- Never call experiencers “users,” “customers,” or “enthusiasts” in public-facing communications

Key Talking Points (Quick Reference)
When Someone Asks “What Do You Do?”
“We built The Phenom App — it’s made by experiencers, for experiencers. When someone has an experience they can’t explain, our app captures the full context of that moment — footage, location, direction, environmental conditions — and seals it with proof that nothing has been faked or altered. We’re giving experiencers the tool they’ve always needed.”
When Someone Asks “Why Does This Matter?”
“Experiencers have been ignored for decades. You have an experience, you try to tell someone, and either nobody believes you or you’re too afraid of the stigma to speak up at all. That’s an unacceptable loss — both for the experiencer and for everyone trying to understand what’s happening. The Phenom App gives experiencers a way to capture their experience properly, with proof, and connect with a community that takes them seriously.”
When Someone Asks “Can’t People Just Fake Videos?”
“That’s exactly the problem experiencers face — they share what happened to them and the first response is ’that’s fake.’ Every recording made through The Phenom App gets a tamper-proof digital signature the moment it’s captured. If anyone alters even a single frame, the proof breaks. Experiencers shouldn’t have to beg to be believed. The proof speaks for itself.”
When Someone Asks “Is This Just for UFO Believers?”
“It’s for experiencers — past, present, and future. You don’t have to be a believer or a skeptic. If you’ve had an experience you can’t explain, or you might have one someday, The Phenom App is your tool. We built it because experiencers deserved better than what existed.”
Competitive Positioning
What Makes Us Different
Do not trash competitors by name. Instead, position The Phenom App by who built it and who it serves:
- “We’re made by experiencers, for experiencers.” — This wasn’t built by a tech company. It was built by people who’ve had experiences themselves.
- “We capture the full context of your experience.” — GPS, compass bearing, altitude, barometric pressure — all automatic, all part of the moment.
- “Every recording comes with proof it’s authentic.” — No other app seals recordings with a tamper-proof digital signature at capture.
- “Seven languages, one global community.” — Experiences don’t respect borders. Neither does our community of experiencers.
If Asked About MUFON, NUFORC, or Other Organizations
“Those organizations have done important work for decades, and we respect that history. We’re building something complementary — a tool made by experiencers that captures the full context of their experiences with built-in proof of authenticity. The more that experiencers are empowered with proper tools, the better for everyone.”
